REGIONALS 2026
This upcoming year, GSSC is launching a regional selection model to expand participation and foster innovation across continents. Partnered universities in key global cities will host their preliminary competitions, allowing students to represent their region or university at the GSSC Global Finals in Seoul, South Korea.
GSSC x India
In partnership with Ashoka University and its Economics Society, GSSC will host a local preliminary competition inviting 12 top universities from India.
The two-day event will feature a bootcamp led by Indian mentors on Day 1, followed by startup presentations to a panel of judges on Day 2. The judges will then select the most promising team to represent India at the GSSC Worlds Finals in Seoul, Korea.
GSSC x Korea
Korean universities have the flexibility to select their teams at their own discretion. Schools may choose either the All-Star Team Formation or Pitch Competition pathway based on their institutional preferences and resources.
Each university determines its own timeline and selection criteria to identify the strongest team that will advance to the GSSC Worlds Finals.
GSSC x USA
Universities across the U.S. can select their GSSC representatives through two flexible pathways designed to capture diverse forms of entrepreneurial talent. The All-Star Team Formation model enables schools to recruit individual students with complementary strengths in business, design, and development, strategically assembling them into a single interdisciplinary team.
Alternatively, through the Pitch Competition pathway, existing student teams with developed ventures compete locally, with the top-performing team selected based on innovation, market validation, and presentation excellence to join finalists from around the world at the GSSC competition.
GSSC x Europe
The European team has been selected through an All-Star Team Formation approach. Individual students with complementary skills across business, design, and development disciplines were recruited from universities across Europe.
Selected individuals were strategically assembled into a single interdisciplinary team to represent the European region at the GSSC Worlds competition.
